Who we are
DWERKS HOSTING provides web hosting, reseller hosting and domain services. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this notice. For any privacy question, contact us through the support form in your dashboard.
What we collect and why
- Account data (name, email, password hash, company, phone) — to create and operate your account. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
- Service data (domains, websites, plan and subscription records, support tickets) — to deliver and support the Services. Legal basis: contract.
- Technical data (IP address, device and browser information, access and error logs) — for security, abuse prevention and troubleshooting. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a secure platform.
- Usage data (pages viewed, feature usage) — to improve the product. Legal basis: legitimate interest, or consent where required.
- Marketing data — only where you have opted in. Legal basis: consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Who we share it with
- Infrastructure, hosting, email and support providers acting as our processors.
- Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record, for the sale of our products, subscription management, payments, tax compliance and invoicing.
- Domain registries and registrars, where required to register or transfer a domain.
- Professional advisers (legal, accounting) and authorities where the law requires it.
We do not sell personal data. Where data is transferred outside the UK/EEA we rely on adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
Account and service data is kept for as long as your account is active and for up to six years after closure where needed for tax, accounting or legal claims. Logs are kept for a shorter period, typically 12 months. Data no longer needed is deleted or anonymised.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may ask us to give you access to your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to processing, or provide it in a portable format, and you can withdraw consent at any time. We respond within one month. If you are in the UK or EEA you may also complain to your local supervisory authority.
Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, access controls, least-privilege administration and regular backups, to protect personal data.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to secure forms. Analytics cookies, if enabled, help us understand usage; you can control non-essential cookies through your browser settings.
